General Haulage

The Haulage market has been the driving force for mainstream fuel management and hence has the most options available for modes of operation. Jigsaw have developed many tools to help fleet managers manage their sites, their vehicles and their drivers better by making the data relating to these easy to access and analyse. Systems range from simple RFID tag ID to automatic vehicle ID systems that also capture mileage.

Bus and Coach

Jigsaw have developed many unique features specific to the Bus and Coach Industry; these include a live feedback tile showing a list of buses not fuelled in the current fuelling shift, exports to Auditors such as EP Morris for BSOG, interfaces to telematics servers to automatically recover mileage information, as well as hands free vehicle ID and Automatic Mileage Capture hardware.

Mining and Quarrying

One of the most difficult environments for any sort of electronic control equipment - dust, dirt, heavy equipment, changing geography. The Jigsaw hardware has been designed to handle these conditions and is used in some of the largest mines on the planet. Static and Mobile refuelling systems are both catered for without compromise of either, and hands free vehicle ID and mileage capture systems are all available.

Railways

The Jigsaw system has been adapted for use in the railway industry by adding specific features such as the ability to manage vehicles in sets and compare operation in that context. Fueller operation is accommodated so that the operator can either use a hand held scanner to read a tag fixed to the vehicle, or type in the vehicle ID number to identify the vehicle being fuelled. Billing individual TOC’s is much simplified by the system.

Emergency Services

The Jigsaw system is used to many fuel Ambulance, Police and Fire authority vehicles. The Fire and Rescue Service of Scotland chose the Jigsaw system to manage the countries entire network of more than 80 sites when they amalgamated in to one authority. Reliability is a must on these systems, so Jigsaw’s robust design features are a prime reason for selection in this Market.

Green Fuels - CNG/LNG/LPG/Bio

Jigsaw are actively working with many of the leading suppliers of CNG refuelling equipment and services, designing systems and features to ensure that refuelling with Green Fuels is as simple as fuelling with Diesel. Unique features such as the ability to manage MPG’s for combined fuel vehicles have been designed in to the Jigsaw system.

CC’s, DC’s and LA’s

Jigsaw manage the fleets of more than 70 councils across Australia, Ireland and the UK. Requirements here are varied; from simple tag based vehicle fleets, to mixed fixed and mobile refuelling. Many users require data exports to their own bespoke internal systems, or to recognised management systems such as Agresso and SAP.

Mobile Refuelling - Fuel Bowsers

Because the Jigsaw system uses mobile phone data communications, there is no real difference between a static and a mobile fuelling operation. The FuelWand and EasyFuel Systems lend themselves to making mobile refuelling operations very quick and straightforward, and autmatic hours/mileage capture may be integrated using our FuelGuard product.

Aircraft and Ground Equipment

Jigsaw manage fuelling of aircraft and ground equipment on the largest airports in the UK such as Gatwick and Heathrow. Much of the refuelling of flight side vehicles is carried out by mobile fuel bowsers so the mobile data features of the Jigsaw equipment is essential to maintain a complete fuelling record. Fuel Stock is managed accurately from delivery to static tanks, from static to bowser, then down to individual vehicles.

Ports and Harbours

Jigsaw manage the fuelling of boats from small leisure craft to ocean liners. As well as boats, Jigsaw equipment is used to fuel the support equipment used on docks and harbours such as cranes, generators, fork lifts etc. By avoiding the use of  wired data networks, the Jigsaw systems are ideally suited to being sited where they are needed such as harbour side and floating pontoons.

MIlitary Equipment Refuelling

One of the most challenging areas in fuel management with a mix of static and mobile refuelling required, and  a mix of mobile and static equipment to be fuelled on land sea and air. The Jigsaw Fuel Management Terminals are ideally suited to these environments consolidating fuellings and stock across all areas in real time,

Car, Van and Truck Hire

Jigsaw manage the refuelling of  many of the leading hire fleets. As the fuel top up is used, in many cases, to charge customers for fuel used, most  installations will require an approved pump and Fuel Management System. The Jigsaw Eclipse is EU MID approved and so ideal for this market. The Jigsaw system can also handle debowsing pumps which measure fuel taken from vehicles before selling on.
